Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on long-serving Bayern Munich stalwart Leon Goretzka.
According to German outlet Bild via FCInter1908, Beppe Marotta is keen to sign the German midfielder on a Bosman deal in the summer.
Goretzka’s contract at the end of the season.
Furthermore, the record-time Bundesliga champions have already decided not to renew his expiring deal.
Therefore, the 31-year-old will be available on a free transfer in June.
Inter Milan Looking to Sign Bayern Munich Ace Leon Goretzka on Free Transfer

Bayern’s decision seems a bit awkward, considering Leon Goretzka has played a prominent role in Vincent Kompany’s setup this term.
Indeed, the former Schalke man has made 31 appearances across all competitions, including 20 in the Bundesliga.
However, the Bavarians have made up their mind, allowing Goretzka to choose his next destination on his own accord.
In the meantime, Marotta is carefully monitoring the situation, with Inter looking to replace Davide Frattesi.
Despite blocking his exit in January, Inter are likely to offload the 26-year-old in the summer.
As per his age, getting him on a free transfer isn’t bad. The real question is what can he offer? Let’s not waste time with another bench warmer
when you look at the targets for the club you realize how small the amition is.
A 31 year old bench warmer.
Should Inter’s financial resources be insufficient to acquire high-caliber players, it would be strategically advantageous to prioritize the development of their youth academy. I am confident that within a three-year timeframe, this approach will yield positive results for the club.
we need ready made players who can compete at the highest level, we are not parma or bologna
we need both.
Inter is competing in 3 competitions; squad rotations are needed.
we need established players who can contribute at the top level, and we need the youth to come in when the schedules are packed and rotations are needed to keep players fresh.
Without the Champions League money, forget it. It was already difficult to get here before, imagine now. That will be the price to pay. If Arsenal really wants him, he’ll go there. Inter didn’t benefit from missing out on the Champions League. Only in the minds of the deluded who are content with the decadent Serie A.
he’s 31, my god!
