Federico Dimarco scored against Genoa and it was the latest chapter in what Inter Milan’s wing-back is making the finest season of his career and the Corriere dello Sport have broken down exactly why he has become so unstoppable.
According to the Corriere, via FCInter1908, the recipe behind Dimarco’s brilliance combines positional intelligence, growing confidence and an unerring ability to produce quality at crucial moments.
Starting from a wide, deep position, he consistently disorients defenders who struggle to track his late runs into dangerous areas.
“For those who mark him, it is difficult, if not impossible, not to lose track of him,” the outlet observe.
Inter 2-0 Genoa – Dimarco The Saviour Once Again

What makes his contributions particularly remarkable is their timing.
Of his six Serie A goals this season, four have opened the scoring, including strikes against Parma, Napoli, Cremonese and now Genoa.
Yesterday’s volley, struck without hesitation from a seemingly impossible angle after Mkhitaryan‘s pinpoint delivery, was described as “a gem.”
The confidence flowing through him right now is self-reinforcing, each decisive moment fuelling the next.
“When he is not producing assists, he takes matters into his own hands and scores important goals,” Corriere write.
Indeed, adding that this season is “his best ever.”
And adding that every contribution keeps Inter firmly at the top while piling pressure on Milan.
There is a small sense of regret within the club that Dimarco was not used in the Champions League first leg at Bodo.
However, as the Corriere conclude, it is time only to look forward.
And, especially with two trophies still to play for, Inter’s most decisive performer looks ready to deliver again.
