Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will reportedly miss Saturday’s home Serie A clash against Atalanta due to injury.
According to Inter.it, the detailed checks on the Turkish star’s muscle injury revealed a slight strain in the adductor of his right thigh.
Hakan Calhanoglu has endured an injury-hit start to the new calendar year.
Indeed, he suffered a calf injury during Inter Milan’s 2-2 home draw against Napoli at the start of 2026.
As a result, he had missed eight consecutive matches in all competitions before making a short cameo appearance against Juventus last month.
Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu Ruled Out for Two Weeks
Cristian Chivu decided to hand Calhanoglu his second start of 2026 in a Coppa Italia clash against Como last Tuesday.
However, the Inter boss may now come to regret putting the 32-year-old at an unnecessary risk at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium.
In addition to missing last night’s 1-0 loss to AC Milan in Serie A’s top-table six-pointer, Calhanoglu will not be available for two more weeks. That’s according to Sky Sport Italia via FCInterNews.
Therefore, Chivu won’t have the skilled midfielder at his disposal when Atalanta roll into town on Saturday.
Still, the experienced playmaker should be fit for Inter’s trip to Artemio Franchi to face Fiorentina on March 22.
this idiot is always injured or he is hiding waiting for world cup qualifiers , where he will be miraculously healthy
the thing is that we won’t buy any quality midfielders, may be one 30+ player and one no name from the French league…and don’t forget we also need to get rid of Mikhi, so there are three midfield spots to fill in, In addition, Sucic has not impressed either, has not provided any upgrade so far and I don’t see him in a team that aspires to win trophies. All in all, almost entire midfield needs to be replaced, which of course, won’t happen.
We need to buy 2 quality midfielders in the summer to replace Frattesi and him. Last summer’s bad mercato will damage us so much because Henrique and Diouf will have to be replaced sooner rather than later and funds are limited.
Henrique 100% but I’m not surprised if he stays and he continues to cost Inter more than just financially because CHIVU will play him regardless. Diouf is not trusted enough to play in any important match which isn’t he’s fault and he did decent when he comes on with attempts to dribble whenever possible
