Inter Milan have rejected an opening offer from Barcelona for Alessandro Bastoni, with the Nerazzurri insisting on a minimum of €60 million before serious negotiations can begin.
According to transfer expert Orazio Accomando of SportMediaset, Barcelona’s first approach came in at €45 million.
Indeed, a figure Inter considered well short of the defender’s value.
The bid was rejected, but it does represent the opening move in what could become one of the summer’s defining transfer negotiations.
For the first time, Bastoni himself is open to listening.
That shift in his personal stance makes the situation more fluid than it has been in previous windows.
Barcelona Offer Bastoni €7m Per Season As Personal Terms Take Shape For Inter Star
On a personal level, Barcelona have already put their cards on the table.
The Catalans have proposed a salary of €7 million plus bonuses per season.
Indeed, a significant increase on what Bastoni currently earns at Inter.
They are also using his recent difficulties in Italy, including the hostile reception he has faced at away grounds following the Kalulu incident and the red card in the play-off final, as a persuasive tool in conversations with his entourage.
The gap between the clubs remains significant.
Inter value Bastoni at a minimum of €60 million and are not prepared to move from that position without a meaningful improvement on Barcelona’s current offer.
The negotiation has started.
Where it ends will define the shape of Inter’s summer, and potentially their entire squad for next season.
It’s not Bastoni’s fault that Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup three times in a row. To the Italian people, GROW UP, YOU f*ckin’ IMBECILE!!!
Whatever month he’s had –
In what world is Bastoni worth 45m??!
If he played for anybody else we’d be talking double at least..
this is weird. medias never in our favor except gazzetta. years after years they keep trying to dismantle our efforts to reach silverware. in the field the controversies keep going, while off the field every fire they could ignite, they make it like a bonfire
I don’t believe that any offers have been made. I don’t believe that Barcelona is interested in Bastoni. I DEFINITELY don’t believe that if they were they would ever offer more than 40m.
Why would Inter sell when his value is at its lowest point in 5 years? Why would Bastoni believe moving to one of the highest pressure environments in the world, into a new formation, would be a smart step in his career right now?
We should give Bastoni another chance but if offer of 80 mil arrive take it and go for muharemovic or Todibo.
What do you mean by another chance? You speak like he’s been kicked off the team. He’s had a rough month but he remains one of the core components of this team.
100% agree!!!
why he need another chance?
How can they bid outside of the transfer window? They are just having some preliminary talks
Enough crazy talk
Here is my wish for next season line up
Goalie – filip and sommer
Left – dima/carlos/cochi
Center 3 – sandro-bissek-ankaji (subs carlos/new guys/u23)
Right – palestra/denzel/kamate
Mid of the park – stankovic-zeli-niko (subs sucic/miki/new guy)
Front – toro-pio (subs bonny/new guy)
Selling markus 60, davide 35 hakan 20 luis 20. So the 130 plus should be enough for stankovic 20 palestra 40, filip 10 and 2 new guys for 50.
Then they can do 3-4-3 when they dominate, 5-2-3 in defence
If we could only sell for those prices like bim bang boom so easily
I hope we can. Its not unrealistic. Check transfermarkt. I’m asking minimums here. And i am not talking some crazy reshuffle. Just the obvious dead weight plus hakan
