The agent of Inter Milan youngster Issiaka Kamate has claimed there is a lot of interest in the 21-year-old French midfielder, as uncertainty lingers over his future with the Nerazzurri.
The former Montfermeil youth prospect joined the Inter academy in 2021 and has risen up through the ranks.
Indeed, last season he spent six months on loan with Modena in Serie B to modest success.
This season, the youngster made an appearance for the Inter first team in a Coppa Italia match, whilst playing regularly for the U23s in Serie C.
Kamate Agent Puts Inter Milan Future In Doubt
Speaking to L’Interista, Kamate’s agent, Fabio Sommella said that there is ‘lots of foreign interest’ in him, leading to questions as to whether or not he will remain an Inter player after the summer.
Whilst he picked up an assist in his Coppa Italia cameo, there is not a clear pathway currently for him into the first team.
Therefore, if Inter can cash in, they may choose to.
Indeed, they could even structure a deal in a similar way to that of Aleksandar Stankovic.
With a buy-back clause inserted into any sale, the Nerazzurri could therefore guarantee first dibs on the player if he grows under the influence of more first team minutes elsewhere.
Please enlighten us about the good young players we sell? Who are they and how are they doing?
We sell good young players and buy mediocre young players.
Yea just sell him instead of ruining his career. Its not like inter will give opportunities.
The u23 project is not a piggybank. Its a project for sustainability and continuity of the first team. Yes, some might make bank. But not yet. Not for 5 mil. For 40 when its time.
Hard pass on the offers
Scouts could also do their job in finding U21 players all over Europe on an expiring contract with their clubs who are already worth something on the market. A year or two with U23 team they could be either introduced to first team or sold at a decent fee. Considering our owners in the near future won’t commit more than 50 mil of budget for transfers, resale of 5, 6 players could help immensely. Let’s be honest, 95% of the players from U23 team and Primavera won’t have future playing for our senior team. So with budget money, sale of a couple younger players, 1-3 players from senior team who are on decline or in bad form in future we could have solid 100+ mil yearly for summer transfers. Have to say creation of U23 team was one of the smartest decisions in the last decade.
We need to find out why atalanta scouts are so good. Is it them, is the their manager..but we need to take it from them. They have brought their team a lot of good young players.
They have a lower-pressure first team situation. They can afford to develop youth talent in serie A because they are ok finishing 5-6th in the table. We could have started Susic, Diouf, Henrique, and Bonny in a 4-3-3 all year. They could all be worth 50m and Inter would be 7th in the league.
He your right
