Davor Suker, current president of the Croatian Football Federation, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his many compatriots who play in Italy. He started with Inter’s Ivan Perisic. “I’m sure he will become a star at Inter. He’s incredible. He has the power, talent, goal-scoring sense. In football today there is a value that makes the difference: facing the direct opponent one on one and pass him. A technical action that gives an incredible advantage to your team. Perisic can also dribble three opponents in the same action. He is decisive just like Robben: he loves starting from the outside and closing the action going towards the center. He also knows the art of serving assists. You can ask for confirmation from the striker who is lucky enough to have him at his side.”
Left at Inter is Brozovic, who has not yet exploded.
“He’s young, give him confidence. He sees the game but has yet to acquire personality.”
Juve has yet to see the ‘real’ Manduzkic.
“Mario can still win the top scorer in the Italian league. He will be valuable in the Champions League because he is not afraid of anything or anyone. By the way, next Sunday there will be Inter-Juventus, right? Don’t count Juventus out of the teams racing for the Scudetto.”
In Croatia there is also Fiorentina’s Badelj who is doing well in Serie A.
“It’s not by luck he found space with Paulo Sousa, one who knows midfielders. I am happy that this Croatia exports talent in the world. We have a new generation of stars after the era of Boban. And other talents are being born behind players like Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Perisic and company.”

Fuck off Davore.HNS PEDERI NOGOMET STE SJEBALI!
Shaq is better..
He looks exactly like Robben in this picture if he shaves his head 😉
In the sense of looks 40 age mid 20s and running ceaselessly like 13 y/o? Totally agree.
Yeah definitely he must be playing as a winger, he has good crosses too- I’m expecting a lot from this guy since we lost our last season stars ’cause of him
but well Serie A is not an easy league, specially finding spaces even the defenders hit harder– let’s see how he perform
My train of thoughts:
Point A: Any player that operates from the flank needed space, alot of it
Point B: Current recurring theme is managers pick any good winger and convert them to the center position
Point C: Successful examples usually came from teams playing high tempo counter attacking football (save for Barcelona, they’re bunch of masochists)
Point D: Our preferred M.O is choking the opponent through slow, possession oriented football.
Point E: You guys see where I’m going with this?
Unless Mancini has a trick or two up his sleeves, i have every reason in the world to worry.
“…he loves starting from the outside and closing the action going towards the center” Well what do you know, maybe Mancine should use this guy as a winger? ´Would be about time!
I mean its clear to anyone but Mancini. Perišić played so much better on the wings for us as well. As trequartista, he was a bit locked down and maybe doesn’t have enough tehnical ability like Jovetić to create chances, but on the wings, with his speed, dribbling and crosses, he is dangerous as fuck.
Damn, I’d love to see 4-4-2. He and Ljajic as winger. But sweet dream just gone by gone.. if WM stubborn about 3-5-2, mancio do the same 4-3-1-2 plus beloved Guarin and Palacio. His tactical already easily readable by opponent.
I’d rather see 4-2-2-2 or 4-2-3-1, which is basically the same as 4-4-2 with a bit different roles. But that means 2 defensive midfielders, which won’t happen as Mancio has shown he wants 3 midfielders, like 4-3-1-2, 4-3-2-1 and such. Its just a shame if we play 4-3-3, one of Ljajić, Perišić and Jovetić will be on the bench, and they all deserve to play.
This formation is always in my mind for some time, damn it,perisic ljacic as winger, jojo as ss,and icardi as cf,
Fuck it mancini, dont you realize it will be offensive monster inter will become, damn it
Agreed. With his pace and ability to set his man in 1-on-1 situations, we should use that. I have neverending dream about that 4-2-3-1 with Perisic – Jovetic – Ljajic behind Icardi. We have the sqaud AND the subs to try it out. We have so much potential for speed, creativity and deadly counter attcks, but Mancini simply squanders that.
Agree. Why mancio insist players play for his out natural position? This is not goddamn FM, this is just as simple play him and ljajic as winger and they will open jojo-icardi path to score more goals. I think mancio was as creative as 10 years ago, but I was too wrong.
