La Gazzetta dello Sport insists that Inter has not given up on Roma’s Kevin Strootman, even though the Dutchman recently penned a renewal until 2020. This because there is a buy-out clause (not only for Italy) worth 45 million of euros. “This means that there is still a possibility for Inter and Spalletti to sign Strootman if they just can offer the right amount of money. Inter is currently studying Strootman’s contract in order to present an offer to Roma owner James Pallotta and there is continous contact with the player in order to convince him. Prior to the renewal, Strootman stated that he wanted to remain in Rome and that he believes in Roma’s project and don’t forget that we are talking about a club that has always treated him well, even during two serious injuries”.

I dont get why the media is linking us to so many midfielders. Gagliardini, Kondogbia and Joao Mario are only gonna get better. We’ve so many other areas we need to invest on
We need a leader in the midfield, Gaglia, Kondo and Mario aren’t leaders, Kondo isn’t even good enough to be at Inter.
I see them fitting perfectly in a 3 midfield system. Mario and Kondogbia will fit in as mezzale, with Gagliardini as the regista, a rather dynamic one probably. Candreva can slot in as a mezzala too. He played as one in Udinese, Rube and the azzuri before.
No, it doesn’t make sense. Kondo is too weak on the ball, you can’t have someone like him on the team that wants to fight for trophies. He takes way too much time to get the ball under control and his passes are inacurate. Mario and Gagliardini are fine, but we need someone who is a leader and experienced to lead them. Strootman wouldn’t be my first choice, he is too injury prone.
Gagliardini can grow to be a leader of the midfield. Lets just buy Pellegrini as a midfielder also and get Manolas to lead the game from the defensive line. No need for this INJURYPRONE dutchman.
If we want a proven leader, why are we letting Milan sign Biglia…
Gagliardini is too young and we don’t have the time to wait for him. I’m also against Strootman, he’s a big risk, but if we get him I wouldn’t mind. We have to get someone for the midfield, that’s for sure.
