I prefer Davinson Sanchez than Rudiger actually. He will be much cheaper with lots of potential. Rudiger is probably the better player at the moment, but both have the potential to be great while Sanchez will come with around half the price tag of Rudiger.

Ajax didn’t reject Barca, They just stated their starting price in the negotiations. I think 40 million would be enough, maybe with some bonus attached.
But a problem is that Ajax doesn’t need to sell. they have 100 million on the bank, and Klaassen will go to Everton for 28 million. The only way Sanchez will leave is when he wants to, but he already said that he owes Ajax a lot for bringing him to Europe
