Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio was behind Acerbi’s no to Turkish club Galatasaray and now the Acerbi case between Inter and Sassuolo is open and will be discussed within the next few days. This according to today’s edition of TuttoSport: “As always Inter is looking to reinforce it’s defence, negotiations between Sampdoria and Inter for Milan Skriniar continues, the current operation is at 32 million where Gianluca Caprari’s (who will go the other way) price is 12 million. Schalke has finally put a price tag on Serb player Nastasic, 20 million but since he is a non-EU player, Ausilio prefers the Acerbi option”.

The pressure of going from Cagliari to Milan was too big for him. It wqs way too early. Milan’s whole defensive line was disastrous at that point. But he’s proven himself at Sassuolo. Tbh I’d take Acerbi over Skriniar. Not just coz he’s the cheaper option. because he’s basically the better defender.
Good points – I couldn’t agree more! A much more composed, experienced and – like you said it – better player overall. And with my softness for italian blood, I would really prefer Acerbi over any of the other current rumors.
Yeah, I want if it were possible I’d want inter filled with Barreca, Benassi, Conti/Zappacosta, Alex Ferarri, Bernadeschi, and Berardi. The current U21 set up basically lol.
On the other hand, I don’t want to see this team change too drastically, keep the core players.
