TuttoSporti has reported that Suning will look to expand into Formula 1:
“Ther has been lots of talk of the entrance to a Chinese team in Formula 1 and the theme seems to be of interest to the group Suning . Following investment in football and television, the giant hi-tech owner of Inter is considering the possibility of expanding the their business to the circuits , which in turn points to increase from 10 to 12 teams.
It is no secret, Steven Zhang has passion for engines. the son of the owner of Suning, and the group is not short of resources to such an adventure, which since 2004 offers a stage at home, the Shanghai GP . it will not be easy to see a new team on the track next season: the last team that has settled in the circuit, the US Haas, served two years to arrive in 2015 to participate in a championship. “

If you don’t focus on Inter, why don’t you sell Inter’s stakes and leave us alone. Suning really has no time to waste making Inter stronger, especially around building our own stadium.
With so much gate receipts going to the city of Milan & peanuts TV rights, owning a stadium is a must.
Nah, Agnelli’s have Ferrari, Red Bull does football and F1 succesfully. Nothing wrong with this if they just invest in Inter also.
Am I think Ferrari is American owned. Just like Louis Vuttion etc. Just keeps the Italian home but not owners.
Damn. Happened in 2016, how did I miss that!
Hmm Louis Vuitton is owned by LVMH which is owned by Bernard Arnault, the richest person in France. Actually most luxury brands are owned by LVMH along with numerous spirits and wines…
LVMH= Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy
Ok that’s why I said “I think”. But thanks for the info.
It’s fine to expand once you succeed with one. It seems to me Suning are going down the path of jack-of-all-trades master of none. I for one would not be happy to see Suning spreading focus before Inter is in a good state.
Don’t get to caught up on what’s going on outside of the inter brand bro. Suning is company of companies so they will have managers to manage every company individually. That will have nothing directly to do with inter unless they sponsor us.
I hope you do realise that all of these projects and investments of Suning beyond China are tools for penetrating foreign markets? I can’t think of one example where a majority owner of a football club does not have a stake in multiple ventures?
Secondly, it’s not Inter’s stakes, it’s Suning’s stake, they own them?
Inter’s shares owned by Suning is what I mean. And they can sell Inter’s shares to someone else (Moratti used to own the shares also).
