The man who decided the match between Inter and Genoa after having scored the only goal of the match, Danilo D’Ambrosio, spoke with Sky after the final whistle.
“The most important goal of my career? I think so. A goal worth three points and a very important win that was hard to get. Genoa came from a loss and fought for every ball. Every game is worth three points and we always want to give 100%. The kiss from Spalletti? I do not know, maybe he likes me in a certain way [laughs]. The coach is very demanding, but that goes for everyone. We have to get back to the Uefa Champions League and to do that we can not rely only on Icardi, Perisic and Candreva, we all have to contribute. We are getting better and better every day, now we have to get another three points before the international break.”

One thing we often forget about D’ambro:
He guarantees 2/3 goals a season.
Hopefully they all will be worth points like this one was.
Another great and solid preformance from Ambros, whom a lot of people loves to hate! And he´s right: a win next Sunday against Beneventa before th break with the national teams will be very important especially seening we will face Milan and then Napoli after the break!
If we keep playing like this against Napoli we will get hammered.
Napoli and Juve are in another league than us – and even Roma is. We are fighting for 4th nothing else.
We should get 3rd easily, at least we don’t concede goals. For 4th are fighting Lazio, Roma & Bilan.
The international break couldn’t come at a better time…grind out a win next week then hopefully the break throws napoli off their form and we can get some sort of result vs them…a draw would be nice but if they don’t show up 3 points would be amazing.
Yep, Milan, Roma, Lazio and Napoli will play in the CL/EPL and then again next weekend and then many of their players will leave on national duty – while our players are at the training ground working with Spalla and resting! That will be our main strength this season, all the rest the players get between games!
