“Close the league with an average of 50,000 spectators per game. This is the goal for Inter’s home matches. Considering the data from the first fixtures, this is absolutely attainable. It would mean reaching a total of 950,000 across 19 home games, so why not aim for a round figure like a million.Well, no one sets the limits but the average would have to 53,000, a big leap from last seasons 46,622”. Corriere dello Sport explains this, pointing out how the strong start from Spalletti and his men led Inter-supporters to finding a new found energy to attend the games again. Initial growth started back in the 2014-15 season  (average attendance below 40,000) up to today.

“At the home of the Nerazzurri, there is a belief that, apart from the success of the club, a renovation of the stadium would also attract more spectators – says CorSport – which has been in the plans for a while now, but has been delayed Milan’s plans to build their own. At the beginning of October there will be a meeting to set times for these plans to move ahead.”
