Corriere dello Sport reports that Samir Handanovic is close to signing a contract extension that would keep him at Inter until 2021. This would keep Handanovic at inter until he is 37 years old.

Handanovic has been keen to get back into Champions League after quitting his national team. This season seems to be on the right track as Inter find themselves in third place in Serie A with 19 points, 7 points ahead of Milan.

Handanovic looks to remain as one of the longest staying players at the club along with Yuto Nagatomo, Andrea Ranocchia and Davide Santon.
