Former Inter Director and current Milan Director Marco Fassone, was interviewed by RAI after the defeat against Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district after a hattrick by Mauro Icardi.
“Mauro Icardi is a world class player, he transformed the chances given into pure gold. We did not expect so much distance from the top of the league and from Inter, but the top teams are winning at an unusual rhythm” Fassone stated before analyzing the difficult start to the season that his Rossoneri have had: “We did not expect to lose 4 out of our 8 first matches in the Serie A, we were too optimistic. It takes time but the second half tonight was very encouraging. Tonight we saw a match of two halves, and we can also see that Montella’s work is starting to work and our goals and objectives do not change.”
