After day 9 of the 2017/2018 Serie A season, Inter has shown the team’s strength in the league.
The Nerazzurri find themselves two points behind Napoli, after drawing 0-0 away at the San Paolo, and Gazzetta Dello Sport has come up with 4 reasons as to why Inter is a top team this season:
- Unbeaten in the Serie A – 7 wins and 2 draws. Have not lost a game at home. Inter has a shot at champions league with Milan 10 points behind
- Handanovic – The slovenian has kept 5 clean sheets against Fiorentina, Spal, Crotone, Genoa and Napoli.
- Fixture list – The following upcoming matches are against easier opponents: starting with tonight against Sampdoria at the San Siro, followed by Hellas Verona away, Torino and Atalanta at home, Cagliari away, and Chievo at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
- The Spalletti Factor – Even without Dalbert and Cancelo, Inter have continued to get results. Karamoh’s schooling is also in the works. Inter look to strengthen the team in January to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
Cancelo, Karamoah, Dalbert.. i expect big things from these guys! ( or atleast consistency)
I’m really excited about Karamoah to be honest. And Dalbert has been as good as it can be so far, didn’t put a foot wrong.
Cancelo didn’t have that much chance to show what he can do but he looks promising nevertheless.
See Handanovic is the best player of this Inter !
Not Icardi the flop.
2-3 goals in a game and then disappears as the magician he is for the next 3-4 matches.
fck of back to your `cage““`
And here we have a pure example of a caveman 🙂
once again the fool comments… icardi is a flop??? he just scored another 2 goals… he has 11 goals in 10 games.. the hell are you talking about?
Yeah right after going 5 matches without scoring from open play.
He has always done that and continues doing, has a good or excellent match and then sleeps for the next couple ones.
Unless the whole team is in a superb form like last night that Perisic was going crazy with all that productivity.
Where was then Icardi against Napoli, or in those 5 matches that he didn’t score from open play ??
He has stats though, scores only in 4 matches yet he manages to get the number up to 11 goals so on paper he looks like some “God” when in reality he can’t do shit on his own.
He’s an Inzaghi type of player but we need a complete striker. That’s why not any of the big teams haven’t stepped up for him.
He can score, but complete strikers know how to start actions as well. Because if that was the case Real Madrid would have dumped Benzema for Icardi long time ago…
dawg…. u on crack… tell me a striker who scores every single game… its like your saying Cristiano Ronaldo is shit.. coz he doesnt score all the time.. he must be the shittiest player right now.. coz he cant score…. u just a hater.. go support AC BILAN you fool !!
Yeaah yeah, this is how you fanboys react when you can’t prove your point 🙂
First of all learn the positions in football kid, Ronaldo is a winger 😉
madrid plays with 3 forwards… and ronaldo is one of them… he has the objective to score in every game such as mbappe and neymar even when they have cavani up front.. ! but just so i follow your train of thought.. how many goals has benzema scored? or Lukaku ?? or Higuain… you cant expect Icardi to just score all the goals.. thats why its a team game.. and when hes not perfomring to his best you have perisic.. candreva, hopefully Karamoh to share the burden and score goals for the team.. its great you have so much high expectation but the man is doing his part.. Spalletti is changing the way this team plays… and Icardi has been much more agressive and helps the team more… just remember his 2nd goal against ac Milan he tracked back.. stole the ball.. started the counter and finished with a nice scissors kick! he already has 11 goals from 10 matches.. we expect him to score above 20 goals a season if not 30.. hes very well on track to do that.. so i dont get your point..
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
Agreed, Icardi we all love when he scores and we know what hes capable of but we need him to be consistent, he will destroy any team on his day but then dissapear after that and have no touches all game, its like were playing a man down, he would be the perfect super sub for a top team, no top team starts with poachers for a reason lets be honest. He has world class finishing though, but he has started to get involved in the play a little more this season, im hoping spalletti can get the best out of him.
Finally someone that gets it.
I love it when he’s on his day, but he’s not in his day that often. And I don’t mean just scoring, because there are plenty of attackers that don’t score often but do great job regardless of not scoring.
You have strikers like Ibrahimovic, Benzema etc that in a way or another they almost always show up, by goals, assists, starting an action and so on.
The problem with Icardi is that when he is not on his day, it really feels like we are a man short.
He can’t accept even simple passes, and make them as well. He messes up great counter attacks in the 70% of the cases just because he can’t do a simple pass or hold on to the ball for a few seconds under the pressure of an opponent every time we depend on him to get the action going.
Because stats wise Icardi should already be in Barcelona or Madrid, but it is more than just those stats and the big teams know it and that’s the reason why we still have him, that’s the reason why we sold Kovacic because we couldn’t sell him.
Because if he really was a complete striker we would have gotten the big money already. If Neymar got sold from Barcelona, there is basically no player that can’t be bought except Messi and Ronaldo simply because they would refuse to leave their teams not that teams wouldn’t offer the money needed to buy them.
