Mundo Deportivo reports that Inter’s Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar is the latest name to be added to the Barcelona shortlist of potential signings to shore up their defence.

Skriniar has been able to catch the eye of the Catalan scouts with his solid performances this season since joining the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria this past season. His constant leadership of the backline has been key for Inter’s success this season and he has surpassed the likes of Napoli’s Koulibaly, who’s demands from Barcelona were deemed too excessive for their liking. The lead target for Barcelona right now is Ajax’s Mattijs de Licht and the Blaugrana are also considering RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, Mundo Deportivo continues.

The 22-year old central defender has appeared in all of Inter’s 11 Serie A fixtures this season and has scored twice in the process, his first coming against against Crotone and the second one againat his former club, Sampdoria. The towering center back has also helped Inter to 5 clean sheets so far this season. What’s most impressive is that Skriniar has a clean disciplinary slate as he has not yet received a single yellow or red card this season.
