Inter’s Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio has started this season in a very positive manner, much to the surprise of the Nerazzurri faithful who have long been critical of the lack of quality of full-backs in the squad.
However during yesterday’s 2-1 win away against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, D’Ambrosio reverted back to his old sins by reminding everyone watching of his clumsy alter-ego when amongst other things, being responsible in the lead-up to the penalty which former Inter striker Giampaolo Pazzini converted. The former Torino defender gave an all-round very unconvincing performance which was not in line with his recent impressive matches.
Former Inter defender turned pundit,Fulvio Collovati, expressed these sentiments when speaking to TMW Radio: “He has had a great season until now, but against Hellas Verona he looked lost and lazy, especially in the situation that led to the penalty. Overall his match deserves a rating of 5 out of 10.”
not try to defend him, but maybe he’s tired.. he play full 90 minutes, 3 times a week.. and playing at the wing is very demanding.. after his mistake, he seems to lose convidence again, i hope spalletti can fix this.. because i’m not convince with cancelo yet..
Tbh he is not the only player on the world playing 3 times a week. In this case roma, Lazio, napoli and juve’s fb must be dieing on the pitch
he himself said he’s not maicon LOL
napoly line up against genoa in midweek:
pepe reina, Elseid Hysaj, Vlad Chiriches, Kalidou Koulibaly, Faouzi Ghoulam, Marek Hamsik, Amadou Diawara, Piotr Zielinski, Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens, Jose Maria Callejon
napoli line up against sassuolo in the weekend:
Pepe Reina, Christian Maggio, Raul Albiol, Vlad Chiriches, Faouzi Ghoulam, Allan, Jorginho, Marek Hamsik, Jose Maria Callejon, Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne.
notice the diffference!? they rotate their fullback and CM… and did another rotation after 60 mins..
they’re not playing the same line up in 3 games!!! let me give you one example( napoli)

You telling me that every team playing cl or Europa league is rotating fb especially that early in the season?
it’s not just about fullback.. they’re rotating their team.. i gave you napoli for example.. actually this week we’re the only top 5 team that played with the same starting line up for 3 times in a week.. that’s mean we play with the same line up for every 2 or 3 days… it’s not about early or late in the season. when you have game every 2 or 3 days, it’s normal to make a rotation to make sure your players are in top form.. looks like spalletti is not very sure about cancello and dalbert yet, that’s why he have to played the same team for 4 times in a row now..
One below average game and everyone hates him…. And agree with you on Cancelo – if he doesn’t improve after Christmas I see no point in signing him; he´s very fast true, but that´s about it with him, he´s not good enough in defense he lacks a lot when taking on his man and his crosses aren´t anything special so far to be considered a winger…
A stand in to Candreva I prefere Karamoh and as a back at right full back…. Don’t know maybe Santon
yeah.. i’ll give cancelo time to learn italian football, but we really need quality bench.. spalletti showing lack of trust on our bench so far, and couldn’t blame him. since both of our new fullback came from different league. but i think dalbert deserve another chance..
Yes both our new full backs are very young and new to Italian football, langue and tactics and need time. But if Concelo improves in his defending he could be really useful as a right full!
