Inter legend Mario Corso was interviewed by TMW Radio sharing his thoughts on a few different subjects following Inter’s 1-1 tie with Torino this past Sunday at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
“Inter played well against Torino, they played perhaps one of their best games. Spalletti has made the group compact, and turned them into a very solid team. The coach was the best transfer.”
Corso, who was a part of Helenio Herrera’s ‘Grande Inter’ side which won 2 European Cup’s was particularly annoyed with the Nerazzurri having sold Ever Banega this past summer, “I am very angry after the transfer of Banega , he would be the right man to play as a trequartista. He is a great player and Sevilla is doing well. I do not understand his transfer, and i think it was a mistake to send him away.”
In conclusion Corso, shared his thoughts on Andrea Pirlo’s retirement from football stating that “he was a great free kick taker like me, Mihajlovic, Zidane and Platini. The balls I kicked were much different, they were heavier. He, like the others are phenomenon that have practiced for hours and hours to score free kicks.”
Me too. Banega’ transfer was headless.
I don’t understand why we don’t give him to adapt seie a, his quality is one level above all of our current midfielder
Because we need to raise fund for Financial Fair Play. No one was interested in Brozovic, and we had to keep our potential Joao Mario, so Banega was sacrificed.
We just have to be better at cheating the system. PSG continue to get away with 200M/yr sponsorship deal with QTA. They sure don’t violate FFP cheating like that.
They are under tight investigation as we speak.
Soon,if it’s found that some of their sponsorships are unfair and artificial they will be punished.
That 200M/yr deal has been known for years. They might get dinged for other stuff, like Neymar transaction, but not for the sponsorship deal. People have complained about it already, and UEFA haven’t done jack.
Ok but they are under investigation right now for that too.
So, will wait and see.
But ..yes their case is the most extreme.
But please…realize that lots of clubs are doing small versions of the same thing.
Juve with their sponsors all tightly connected with ownership industrial group overpaying them quite a bit..
And…Inter, for example.
20 millions for a couple of Suning signs at the Pinetina.
Which is actually a good thing cause it shows Suning total willingness to help pump money into Inter, and fix our finances, one way or the other.
From what I read, that Pinetina deal was to revamp the training ground, no? I mean it’s good, but not as flashy as supplying a boatload of cash…
We’re actually exploiting the backdoor differently, by having Jiangu Suning sign good players then have them transfer to Inter. We tested with Sainsbury last season, and it looks like Ramires is next.
Yes, but in both Juve exxor sponsorships and Suning cases they could be seen as small version of the same infraaction as PSG:
Overpaid publicity from oneself to oneself to pump money into the club and avoid FFP rules.
The quantity of PSG deal is what makes more noise.
But if they “get them ” later they could ” get us ” too then.
Just in smaller measure.
FFP is just dumb. Clubs are finding ways to supply cash to the club…it’s not working as intended. Better abolish that nonsense and let clubs spend as much as they want.
Possibly.
Yup.
And Ramires is no Sainsbury.
He could be a serious addiction for us.
I agree 🙁
