La Liga outfit Valencia will play Alaves in the Copa Del Rey quarter-finals today and during yesterday’s official pre-match press conference, manager Marcelino was asked whether Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo, who is currently out on loan at Inter from Valencia, will be rejoining his side or not.
On a direct question if Valencia can resign the young full-back, Marcelino replied: “If Spalletti says he is staying then there’s no chance he will come back. You can take him on his words.”
There is a rumor doing the rounds that after Inter’s last match Joao Cancelo could be heading back to La Liga. A few Spanish media outlets have claimed that his agent Jorge Mendes is currently working to seal the deal that sees Cancelo return to the Mestalla. But today Valencia manager completely discarded these possibilities. The Portuguese international is currently on loan at Inter and so far has made six appearances in which he has been improving by every match.
do we have an option to buy after the loan?
So good! 23 years old and has everything to become world class – speed, technic, dribbling ability and fine crosses plus is improving a lot in defence. We should definitely buy him next summer and the D’Ambrossio can play in the left
I made mistake about this guy..actually thought he was going to be a flop after long term injury, but this guy is one of the best Inter players.
He is fast, he know how to drible and pass the ball, cover area, and he can be big thing in the future.I am pretty sure he is staying, if not..something is really sick in Inter’s management.
If he keeps this form we need to redeem him in the summer. I don’t actually care if the amount is quite big. Finally we would have a good option as an attacking right back. He seems to be the only one recently who can put a decent cross from the right side.
I believe our left back problem could be also solved already, if we had signed Alex Telles when we had the chance. We had an option of around 12M if I remember correctly, but we chose not to execute it and after that we got the flop called Ansaldi for something like 8M….
Telles and Dalbert would be great
i do believe he will come thru for inter!!
I’d urge Inter Milan directors to sign him permanently
No doubt that he’s good and at 23 years old he has potential to become very good, maybe great — however the question is whether he’d be worth the pricey redemption fee to make it a permanent move — decisions, decisions …..
I’m looking forward to watch collaboration between him and Rafinha, of course so does with Icardi. Then, we could decide whether to retain or send them back at the end of season.
Seeing how hard it is for our directors to find good fullbacks that price is actually not that high. I mean if they don´t sign him they will spend at least 60 millions on some flops before, maybe, finding a good one.
qualify champions league and Kondogbia permanent at valencia, Cancelo can permanent at inter with 10 million euro (25 million from Kdog)
best RB at Inter now..
