Inter’s January was just like their summer, or at least the second half of the summer. Luciano Spalletti had arrived at Inter in June being promised names like: Nainggolan, Vidal, Manolas, Rudiger, Di Maria and Bernardeschi all being rumoured to the club. Then in mid-July there was a change of course due to the sudden blockade imposed on Suning by the Chinese government. The same coach who, rolled up his sleeves and took Inter within Champions League qualification, has also repeatedly remarked that he is not happy.
“Until December, Inter were running at full steam, unlike anybody expected” Tuttosport reports today. However, in the last two months, the objective has been looking much harder to obtain. The coach has lost his guarantees and there is a degree of nervousness in his statements.
It will be interesting to see his mood during the press conference today on the eve of their game against Crotone. Most would expect Inter to win, but this has been missing since December 3rd after which Inter have played 8 matches drawing 5 and losing 3. If the Nerazzurri were to continue this form, it would no doubt spark crisis mode. Will Spalletti start from the beginning? Or will he voice his opinions?
Tuttosport reports that the feeling is that Spalletti is probably overjoyed with the conclusion of the transfer market, so he can now focus on putting his team on the right track but it’s obvious that the task explained to him around May-June differed greatly from the task at hand today. It is therefore reasonable, the Turin based newspaper argues, to ask what his future would hold if Inter do not qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season.
We have had same problems for several seasons so its not just Spalletti but our team lack spirit. Play Karamoh instead of Candreva, Rafinha instead of Brozo and find a place for Cancelo. They are hungry not like Candreva who dosent give a fuck.
A new formation is needed tonight. I say 4-4-2 with Eder and Pinamonti up front. Crotone usually have 30-35 % Ball position and are only capable of doing something on the counter, so more strikers in the box please!
If Suning really promised those players to Spalletti this restrictions changing the plans sounds like an excuse. All they did before those restrictions came into force was to get Skriniar, old and cheap Valero and haggle over Dalbert’s price with Nice. Had they intended to buy those big names I bet that some of them would have been bought already before the Chinese government restrictions came into force. Besides Bilan and their Chinese owner was buying players left and right. I don’t know, but sounds like BS from their part – that is if they really promised those players to Spalletti.
If possible I will keep him next season and instead give suitcase to Ausillio and if Chinese didnot want to spend then focus on young players and target Europa leauge, that way the coach and the players will grow instead of asking mediocrity to qualify for CL and embarrassing themselves as usual in January.
it’s management’s fault!
Fuck Tuttoshit. This winless streak contained three of our direct opponents (Rube, Lazio and Roma) and two wins which turned
into draws in the 90th min. So FUCK OFF!
Putting that way it doesn’t sound that bad but looking at the quality of play we do not even deserved the 5 draws
Because everybody in this team is under pressure by media and the fans. Nobody dares to make a mistake
But still why not try with Karamoh instead of Candreva – Rafinha instead of Brozo and start Cancelo? They are hungry and Candreva just dont give a fuck anymore.
chinese, spaletti, icardi, škrinjar, perišić will be leaving inter, … startting from summer 2018.
nope only icardi leaving guarantee 100%
