Former Inter player Francesco Moriero, spoke exclusively to Itasportpress.it and discussed Inter’s current season under Luciano Spalletti’s leadership: “Inter are an ambitious club and must aim to achieve at least fourth place, but it will not be easy considering that Lazio and Roma are playing well. At the moment, Inter are less equipped than Napoli and Juventus, even if they have a great coach like Spalletti on the bench. What is missing is the continuity of results, given that after a streak of victory a long dry streak arrived. The good start had deluded the fans, but it is clear that Spalletti’s starting eleven is still missing a true identity and above all a balance. For me it does not depend on the coach, but on the players, to understand the instructions of Spalletti and develop character to come to terms with the situation. Unfortunately there are not many players that are worthy of Inter in this team. To make the leap in quality and return to compete for the Scudetto they need real men and world class players. Not arriving in the first four places this season would be a big hit for the whole Inter environment “.

Yeah Moriero you are right. Sadly, we have a lot shit players than cannot handle the pressure and ambition of a top club, just look at how they turned to shit as soon as we reach 1st place and people started talking about scudetto….. Craziest thing is , those scrubs are the first guys Ausilio will give a contract extension… btw they stopped talking about extending Santon, what happened haha ?
I agree with Moriero. The players do matter money the most. Of course money is important, but they lack of ability, stability, respect for the club, commitment, and continuity.
Honeslty im sick of hearing youre not worth wearing this shirt or anything like that, the sport has changed, no one plays for the shirt anymore, people play for money, people play for themselves, no one dies for the shirt anymore, soccer has changed, we cant keep saying our history this our history that, were a mediocre team right now, we will stay that way until our players reach champions league qualification and then were able to buy some players. People say we need to buy him or him but really who wants to play here right now with all the crap that goes on, young players dont get chances really so they know they wont play, we dont have any European cups to show their talents to the world, players want to win trophies not play for a club just for the history, were not a team that can buy 80 million dollar players, for that to happen we would need those dubai billionaires and want to win, chinese owners are just there for the money and to show off their company, look at man city, the owner wants to win, he buys players here and there. we need an owner like that
our owners have spent money, problem is we’ve spent it on the wrong players, we buy joao mario, kdog, gabigol and dalbert (too soon?) for huge sums and they all flopped, juve spend even less on players like pjanic, dybala and sandro (not to mention the free transfers such as pogba and pirlo).
I suppose it is easier to integrate new players into a stable side like juve whereas we had such huge amounts of instability and change in recent years…..
However I do believe the current group we have coached by spaletti is enough to get us into ucl and from there one can only hope we will regain our place as a top power in europe.
You missed the point mate. It’s about quality not money.
Its more about adapting to Seria A, players from abroad suffer in process to understand the game in Italy, even coaches, for example Bernardeschi would have been far much better deal than Gabigol.
Don’t get me wrong, coming from Sporting or Santos is not like coming from Barcelona, players from Seria A itself served Inter better.
What I meant was clarifying moriero point about players not worth of inter shirt. I don’t know why you are getting adaptation involved.
Its obvious that you didn’t understand me clearly, the players we have can’t live to our expectations right away they need time to worth to Inter shirt as you understand it, better we buy players from other Seria A team.
