Inter strongly believe that they can secure Stefan De Vrij as a free agent. This comes after confirmation that the Dutchman would not renew his contract with Lazio, following months of stagnated negotiations.
Until a couple of weeks ago – Corriere della Sport reports – the hopes of having Stefan De Vrij come to Milano were low but now Ausilio and Sabatini have shown their cards. Aware that they have a lot of big competition, as the agency representing the centre-back claimed that their phones were going crazy from bids from all over Europe. Therefore the fees to the agents could be a deciding factor.
The Nerazzurri executives had made their interest known in December but after the confirmation that De Vrij can be taken for free, there is a line outside his door. The competition includes Milan, Napoli, Barcelona who like Inter have had a long term interest, Atlectico Madrid and Zenit. In addition, although those in Turin would deny it, Inter believe Juventus are also a competitor.

Last season his performance is up n down, totaly not his fault of course. But if youre force to sell in such deadline, i think were making good deal. Not ideal but still good one.
The thing is look at the lack of brain in our midfield right now, there is absolutely no creativity, except rafinha who still hasn’t started… and then to think that we had a player way better than what we have now and we sold him for peanuts makes me mad sorry.

Why do you guys like cancelo so much? Have you been watching the games? Cancelo is a liability in defense and tends to drop out of games. Limited Laxalt exposed him last game. What in the world do you all see in cancelo aside from his close control and crossing? That isn’t enough for a fullback. The guys clause is 35 mil, he’s not pupi, no Maicon, no maxwell, no chivu… what is he exactly? Alex telles was better! Yes Alex telles was better!
Dani Alves is far from a perfect defender but he is still the best fullback of this decade.
