Luciano Spalletti is drilling his team during the training sessions at the Suning Sport Center in Appiano Gentile as the team is preparing for the derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district on Sunday evening with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
The session began in the gym with some aerobic activity, then took to the pitch with individual technique followed by a training session dedicated entirely to tactics.
Italian media outlet Sky Sport reports that Inter’s Spanish midfielder Borja Valero started working together with the group, but then did not join the rest of the players on the pitch instead he stayed back in the gym. At this point, it is more than likely that the Spanish midfielder will be on the bench for the derby on Sunday. His situation will be monitored closely as the weekend approaches to get a better understanding of his current physical status.
Valero is a great team player. His calm and cool is contagious. But surely he can’t start the derby. We need Rafinha, Brozovic and Vecino in the centre. Karamoh and Perisic on the wings. Icardi up front. Candreva, Eder and a fullback as 2nd half subs.
But I hate with his backpasses which delayed the gameplay flow and so annoying.
Can’t wait to see Rafinha paired with Maurito…Perisic and Karamoh supporting on the wings will be an ultra dynamic attack … too bad such a drop off in mid, hope Brozo gets the start over Gaglia
Unfortunately it would be Candreva behind Icardi.
Candreva after playing an horrid game , his worst game on the wing , honestly suddenly looked good as 3/4ista .
He looked seriously good there , so I would at least consider him as an option.
It maybe a solution.
My main beef instead would be to see Gaglia start again.
Nothing against him personally , but he is just a very little quality , very limited talent type of player.
Candreva , like him or not , at least does have some talent and some weapons on his side.
And Rafinha is clearly not 100% fit.
For the 2 in the mid I would probably go Vecino -Brozo, if Valero is not at his best.
rafinha is not ready for starter. he’s not 100 % yet. better for him to come in as a sub for now. candreva behind icardi is an interesting idea btw.
Is Candreva ready? Ready for what actually? But still I prefer him over Brozo.
did you watch rafinha in our last game!? he’s a disaster tbf.. the man have out of the game for almost one full year.. it’s natural he need time to return to his best again. it’s better to use him as subs because at the time bbilan players would be too tired to keep up with rafinha’s fresh leg. for brozo, his antic with our fans lately would eat him mentally. why!? because most likely he would play to prove himself. overdone it would harm the team.
Bro, it’s odd when u talk about disaster and mention Rafinha before Candreva, Brozo, Gaglia and Dumb!
I watched Rafinha against Bologna and Genoa too, and he was the only one who could make things happen. Yeah he had one below par match against Benevento, but except Skir, who didn’t have?!
I see no point in wasting 60 mins on the field in an unwatchable game, then try to do something with Karamoh and Rafinha, and that’s what Spalletti has done for a while.
For Brozo, nothing is new, he has been just a shitty guy with loser attitude and mental issues from the start. I just hope we get rid of him in the summer and I never gonna see him again in our starting XI ever.
i’m not saying candreva is better than rafinha. i just saying phisically he’s behind other players. karamoh is ready for starter. i rather see candreva on the middle than on the wing. candreva played there before in his early career, and i think we would done well in that position. there’s no coincident that rafinha was doing better as a sub than as a starter.
and that is ok, but only if rafinha plays in midfield with vecino
Now I’m worried if Brozo get the start as CAM and Candreva as RW, with Karamoh on the bench. We’ll lose if we start like this.
