In the Serie A opener in Reggio Emilia against Sassuolo Inter’s new signing Stefan De Vrij missed an opportunity to score but he redeemed himself against Torino where he was a bit sharper and scored.
Dutch international central defender Stefan De Vrij is becoming a leader in his new club and has one quality in particular that Inter coach Luciano Spalletti appreciates a lot according to Milano based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport who reports in today’s paper that: “The Dutchman is considered untouchable because of the unique quality he has of placing himself on the pitch, between the central defense of Inter.”
According to the Gazzetta the former Lazio defender is unique because of “the way he moves the ball around on the pitch is the absolute trademark of Spalletti’s idea of how to play football.”
Stefan De Vrij joined Inter on a free transfer earlier this summer after spending 4 season with the Biancocelesti in the Italian capital where he scored 10 goals in 118 fixtures across all competitions.
