Legendary Inter former player Evaristo Beccalossi was asked about the current Inter captain during Italian radio show Tutti Convocato on Radio24.
Beccalossi stated that “Inter must try to supply Icardi more, because he can score a goal with just one ball. Inter showed identity and soul, I liked the way they faced Barcelona, but I wonder if Icardi had four or five chances, how many goals could he score?”
Icardi has now scored three goals in his first ever four appearances in the Champions League and is proving to the rest of Europe that he, along with Inter, belong in this tournament.
Icardi’s late equaliser at the San Siro against Barcelona rescued a point for Inter in their race to qualify for the Last-16 of the Champions League. With Tottenham winning against PSV, Inter now know that a draw or win against Tottenham at Wembley in London would secure their place in the next round of the Champions League.
