Corriere della Sera have analysed the environment at Inter after Beppe Marotta has been appointed while Luciano Spalletti exposes himself to the possibility of being replaced.

The Zhang family was extremely disappointed by Inter’s elimination from the Champions League, for both prestigious and financial reasons. €17 million euros worth of revenue was lost on Tuesday. Given Inter’s tight situation with UEFA over Financial Fair Play, this is especially important.

Marotta finds himself entering a frustrated, yet determined work place. The former Juventus CEO, will take the same role at Inter, but with a focus on the sporting sector of the business. He’ll be in close contact with the President, Steven Zhang and working even closer to Ausilio and Gardini.

His visit to Appiano is scheduled for tomorrow, which is also when Spalletti will speak to the press, ahead of the Udinese game and will no doubt have to answer sensitive questions from the media about his future.

The coach now needs to finish in a Champions League spot and make good progress in both the Europa League and Coppa Italia if he wants to secure his position from the likes of Conte, Simeone and Mourinho.
