Inter got off to a wonderful start in a packed Meazza and capped it off with a stunning trademark long-distance strike from Radja Nainggolan. Then for some reason they didn’t manage to finish the game off when they were on top and Cristiano made sure Juventus didnt return empty handed to Turin.

Samir Handanovic – 5.5: Had to save one well hit shot all game and watched it go by at his near post. Saved an Asamoah own goal, even that should be him screaming for it.

Danilo D’Ambrosio – 6.5: Always seems to up his level against Juventus. He was good tonight in both phases. Cristiano could beat him only once in the entire game. He tried hard.

Stefan de Vrij – 7: Apart from one mistake in the first half which led to that Bernardeschi shot, absolutely everything was perfect in defence. Could even have scored.

Milan Skriniar – 7: Same as De Vrij, kept Juve quiet. Absolute monster of a defender and the day he gets the armband and a renewal should be celebrated by Interisti.

Kwadwo Asamoah – 7: Showed why experience is invaluable in big games. Read Bernardeschi very well all game. Didn’t fall for Cuadrado’s tricks. Controlled his side.

Matias Vecino – 6: Vecino in the deeper role is very wasteful with the ball. Even when he has space and time he somehow manages to give the ball away for no reason.

Marcelo Brozovic – 7: Anyone who says Brozovic isn’t important to Inter will vanish like Thanos would make them after that performance. Regista masterclass with the ball.

Matteo Politano – 7: One of the more positive performances by Politano. Played much more with his instinct and heart rather than his cynical brain. Looked better.

Radja Nainggolan – 7.5: This is what Inter thought they were getting. He cant last 90 minutes but his overall play was wonderful. Good game capped by a beautiful curling strike.

Ivan Perisic – 7.5: Could have been Man Of the Match if he could have scored or provided a telling cross. Did everything else perfectly well. Like a pendulum on the left.

Mauro Icardi – 5.5: The usual Icardi would have scored that chance. He got plenty of service and passes. Didn’t make the most of it in the first. Isolated in the second.

Borja Valero – 5.5: A lot of Interisti will find this substitution confusing. However, it was the right one to make when our midfield was tired and couldn’t hold on to the ball.

Joao Mario – N/A: His job was to keep the right flank quiet. The only decent chance he got to cross, he took a shot that was saved at the near post. Ran a lot otherwise.

Lautaro – N/A: Lautaro got only 3 touches of the ball and managed to get a shot away in his 10 minutes or so. Could have been brought on earlier and maybe…

Luciano Spalletti – 4.5: All Inter’s substitutions were 10 minutes too late. Took the defensive approach in the second half which wont please anyone. Outclassed by Allegri yet again.

Luca Banti – 3: Gave away too many soft free kicks to both teams. Missed a few bookings on Juventus. Cuadrado and Pjanic both could have been sent off. Nothing new here.

Inter – 5.5: After a dreamy start to the game, the team sat back a bit too much and allowed Juventus to come back in the game. Should have finished it in the first half.

Agree? Disagree? Who do you think was Inter’s best player of the night?
