Inter are postponing any decision on the future of Luciano Spalletti at the club until the end of th season according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe Marotta yesterday implied that Spalletti would remain in charge but the Milan based newspaper insist that these words should not be taken as an absolute confirmation.

The reason for this is due to the stage of the season that Inter are currently at and public confidence is certainly required.

Spalletti has a contract until 2021 and with Champions League qualification next season, he could secure his future despite the media speculation that he will be replaced by Anotnio Conte.

Once the season ends and Inter’s position is secure, there will be a discussion of how the season went as a whole, but until then there will be no news on the potential union of Inter and Conte. Qualification for the Champions League would be an indication of stability and could lead to others things such as the renewal of Piero Ausilio up to 2022.
