Former Inter midfielder Olivier Dacourt spoke to Italian radio show TeleRadioStereo today to discuss the race for the scudetto this season and his thoughts on Inter.
“Juve did well and seeing Inter do great things in Serie A is an important thing for Italian football. Last year we also saw Napoli and Roma doing well. There are 4 or 5 teams now that can bother Juventus.”
The 45-year-old Frenchman played for the Nerazzurri for three years between 2006 to 2009, winning two league titles with the club as well as two Supercoppa Italiana. He was a decisive player for the Nerazzurri in his first season following injuries to star midfielder Patrick Vieira.
He made 51 league appearances for Inter across his three seasons with the club, although he failed to score a single time and only provided one assist. He famously joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer after losing to them in the Coppa Italia final with Roma in the 2005/06 season.
