Inter striker Lautaro Martinez spoke to Italian broadcaster Rai Sport in their post match coverage following the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 victory over Sassuolo in the Serie A, where the 22-year-old Argentinian scored two goals.
“He [Conte] wasn’t happy. We had to close out the game and play with more peace of mind. I’m personally happy with my performance, I made a special dedication to my mother because it’s her birthday today, but you can’t end up suffering from a game that we had in our hands. That’s what the coach told us.”
“We need to win on Wednesday [against Borussia Dortmund]. We have to work hard these three days to approach the match in the best possible way. How is my partnership with Lukaku is going? Very well, he’s a great champion, he’s doing a great job. We’re getting to know each other day after day to get the best out of the partnership.”
Both Lautaro and former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice today to help Inter achieve three points at the Mapei Stadium.
