Inter coach Antonio Conte spoke to Italian broadcaster InterTV following the Nerazzurri’s difficult 2-1 victory over Bologna tonight.

“We knew about the difficulties of the game given the opponent, but we were very good, creating several opportunities to score and I don’t remember big sames from Handanovic. Instead, I remember them from the Bologna goalkeeper. We always believed in it and were rewarded with two goals. Merits to a great squad.”

He touched on his usage of attacking substitutions within the game.

“The signal was very clear, win the game. A signal for us, but also for the opponents.  Happy because I see that Inter are starting to give bother a little more than before.”

Finally, Conte discussed the strong performance of former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

“I’d underline one fact, it’s not that I strongly want a player. For every decision, there is an agreement with the management. We are all convinced, it has to be very clear.”

“We are one, unlike what I often read. I don’t want anyone, as they say, but we all talk to each other. Vidal, Maradona, Rakitic, Neymar, are careful evaluations of everyone at Inter.”

“Beyond Lukaku, I like to talk about Lautaro’s great performance. Two strikers who play for the team in both halves are refining this understanding more and more. We’re talking about two boys aged 22 and 26, they can only grow up and stay here for another 10 years.”
