Napoli have blocked the proposed loan of Spanish striker Fernando Llorente to Inter forcing the Nerazzurri to once again shift their focus back on Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio who reported this live on air moments ago, adding that the reason for this change is that Belgian striker Dries Mertens isn’t deemed fit enough. The Partenopei don’t want to find themselves in a position where they are a striker short should the Belgian striker not return back into action soon enough.
Therefore Inter have to once more return to negotiating with Chelsea over a transfer for Olivier Giroud, an option that had gone cold these past few days given the possibility of bringing in Fernando Llorente.
In conclusion Sky Sport Italia report that the negotiations concerning Matteo Politano are all but concluded with Napoli loaning the player for 18 months with an obligation to buy set at €25 million.
