The not so flattering award Tapiri d’oro, awarded to a score of celebrities in Italy every year (Ibrahimovic, Fabio Capello and Alexandre Pato has received it in 2013) was today presented to Andrea Stramaccioni for the horrible season with Inter. The “Award” is handed out by Valerio Staffelli from the tv-show Striscia la Notizia and when he met with the Inter coach he asked him, “What’s going on with this Inter? It has beaten all the negative records.” Stramaccioni replied: “We did, however, beat a historical record of the number of consecutive wins away from home. As long as we all were healthy… The only one that hasn’t been injured has been me. Moratti? He has not been injured, he’s doing well.”

Staffelli then asked about Stramaccioni’s future: “What will you do? Will you remain in Milan with Inter or will you go elsewhere?” The coach responded firmly: “We must clearly redeem ourselves, we can’t withdraw like this.”
