With the transfers of Diego Godin to Cagliari and Antonio Candreva to Sampdoria completed albeit not made official, Inter have now made space in the squad to bring players in.

According to Italian media outlet FcInterNews, the Nerazzurri are one step away from completing the signing of former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian from Parma.

Inter will use all of the €2.5 million received from the Candreva to Sampdoria transfer to sign Darmian from Parma, the report continues, with the deal set to be completed tomorrow or the day after that.

However, the Nerazzurri’s dealing with Parma don’t end there, with FcInterNews claiming that Inter are interested in signing former Roma winger Gervinho.

This because Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte, the report continues, is a big fan of the player and considers him to be ideal to complete the squad’s attack.

Gervinho on his part, is aware of this and is therefore putting talks with all other clubs on hold, preferring a move to Inter, which won’t materialize until the final days of the transfer window, the report concludes.
