Inter beat Fiorentina in the opening day of the 2020/2021 Serie A season in a 7 goal thriller at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

Nerazzurri got off to the worst possible start when Christian Kouame scored in the opening 5 minutes after some abhorrent defending from the home side.

The Nerazzurri worked their way into the game and equalized thanks to a wonder strike from Lautaro Martinez just before the stroke of halftime.

Inter started the second half the same way they ended the first and took the lead when Lautaro Martinez shot was deflected into the Fiorentina net via Ceccherini.

The Viola came back and equalized and took the lead thanks to two wonderful assists by Frank Ribery to first Gaetano Castrovilli and then Federico Chiesa.

But Pazza Inter showed why they are Pazza and equalized via Romelu Lukaku in the 87th minute and 2 minutes later Danilo D’Ambrosio headed home the winner. Vintage Pazza Inter.
