Parma sporting director Marcello Carli refused to confirm whether Matteo Darmian would be playing his final game for the club prior to their 4-1 loss to Bologna tonight.

Darmian has been strongly linked with a move to Inter for several months now and several recent reports have suggested he will arrive at Inter just shortly.

“I don’t know, we know very well that there the talks started with Inter last year, let’s see if it will be the last or the penultimate,” Carli explained to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara prior to the Ducali club being comfortably beaten.

Recent reports have also suggested that Inter could make a move to sign Parma attacker Gervinho in order to complete their attack and Carli was asked on this and refused to rule anything out.

Multiple reports have stated that Inter would like to bring in the experienced Ivorian to serve as a fourth choice option in the attack and many have also suggested that him coming in would lead to Andrea Pinamonti going out on loan.

Carli said: “It is the transfer market and the offers that we receive that decide. For sure these are things that can create some problems.”
