Inter’s Italian international defender Alessandro Bastoni believes that matches against Lazio in the Serie A are always important, moments ago on Italian TV.
The former Atalanta defender told Inter TV moments before kick-off at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district, that Lazio are a very tricky opponent, something they have demonstrated by the results they’ve achieved in the Champions League.
“We are aware of the importance and weight of these points, but this match was important even before yesterday’s matches. We are aware that the Serie A is left and that we have to win all matches to be able to reach our objective.
“I don’t think Lazio are easy for anyone to play against, they have demonstrated this in Italy and in Europe, playing beautiful football and are able to do against everyone.
The former Parma defender then continued underlining that the Biancocelesti are very good in attack and that it will be a difficult match for the Nerazzurri.
“It will be difficult, they have many quality players but we will try to stop them to win the match. They have a very dangerous attack just like their entire team is. It will be a complicated match.”
Bastoni then spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia where he revealed that the Nerazzurri have to be mean from the first minute in order to impose themselves and disturb Lazio.
“Lazio are very strong, I don’t have to say so. But our objective is as stated to win all the remaining matches starting with the one tonight.
“We will go out on the pitch in a mean way to make them understand that tonight is not their night.”
Alessandro Bastoni joined Inter from Atalanta in the summer of 2017 and after having spent a season on loan at Parma he has featured 59 times across all competitions for the Nerazzurri scoring 3 goals in the process.
