It is time for Inter to put the foot down on the accelerator in the race to win the Serie A title according to an Italian newspaper report today.

As per Corriere della Sera’s print edition, Inter must today beat Genoa to firstly put pressure on second placed AC Milan, who do not play until tonight, and to try and definitively launch themselves toward the title.

Inter coach Antonio Conte will rely upon the formidable strike partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez who have scored 52% of Inter’s 57 league goals to date this term.

Conte will also be reliant upon the newfound watertight defence and the time has come for Inter to kick on, take advantage of all of the enthusiasm at the moment and not be distracted by what is going on at the club off of the field.

The Nerazzurri currently lead the way in Serie A and have a four point gap over AC Milan but could potentially move as much as seven points clear if they win and AC Milan lose.
