Inter’s closest title rivals have no chance of stopping them unless they are knocked out of Europe, an Italian media report has argued today.
Corriere dello Sport’s print edition claimed that the Nerazzurri seem certain to win the Serie A title because they are too physically strong, too solid and too convinced in their own means now.
Inter lead the way in Serie A after 25 games with a six-point lead over second placed AC Milan, following last night’s hard-fought 2-1 win at Parma.
AC Milan, like third-placed Juventus, are still competing in Europe while Antonio Conte’s side are able to focus entirely on Serie A.
Inter not playing in Europe is potentially decisive now in the Serie A title race now, the report argued, and others will have to be knocked out in order to focus on the league, if they wish to have any chance of stopping the runaway league leaders.
Inter could potentially cut adrift another title rival this coming Monday when they play host to fourth-placed Atalanta, who currently trail the Nerazzurri by 10 points.
