Inter coach Antonio Conte remains undecided on his starting line-up for the Serie A match against Cagliari tomorrow, with midfielder Nicolo Barella suspended.

Barella will be forced to sit out the match against his former club at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after an accumulation of yellow cards, leaving a vacancy in midfield.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Conte has numerous options to replace Barella, with Roberto Gagliardini, Stefano Sensi, Matias Vecino and Arturo Vidal all vying for a starting berth.

However, it is believed that Gagliardini is currently the frontrunner and Conte feels he would bring greater balance to the midfield, though Vecino is the next most likely candidate.

Sensi and Vidal have fallen behind in the pecking order, with concerns over their fitness and ability to impact the match, leading to a battle between Gagliardini and Vecino to impress the coach.

Elsewhere, Achraf Hakimi may be rested and replaced by Matteo Darmian, whilst Conte remains undecided between Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez to partner Romelu Lukaku up front.
