Achraf Hakimi’s agent has backed the Inter wing-back to play a key role in the Nerazzurri’s big match at Napoli on Sunday.

Inter are 11 points clear at the top of Serie A with only eight games left, making them odds-on favourites to win their first league title since 2010.

Antonio Conte has helped Hakimi develop into a complete player since his €40 million move from Real Madrid last summer, with the Moroccan scoring six goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.

“It’ll be a great spectacle between Napoli and Inter,” Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano told CalcioNapoli24 today.

“I hope Hakimi can steal the limelight and then win the Scudetto.”

Hakimi struggled to nail down a fixed spot in Real Madrid’s starting XI and moved on a two-year loan to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 to enjoy regular game time.

Camano admitted this was also one of the most important factors behind the 22-year-old’s decision to join Inter 12 months ago.

“He developed in Real Madrid’s youth system before moving to Dortmund and then Inter in order to play more in the starting XI,” he added.

Hakimi has made 37 appearances in all competitions for Inter, providing the match-winning assist in last weekend’s 1-0 victory against Cagliari.

A report in Italy’s media this week revealed Lautaro Martinez could soon hire Camano as his own agent, having parted company with his long-standing representatives Beto Yaque and Rolando Zarate.
