In his first interview as new Inter player Saphir Taider introduced himself for the Inter fans and during the interview with Inter Channel the French-Algerian midfielder talked about his feelings: the personal satisfaction of coming to Inter, the joy of getting to play with his friend and compatriot Ishak Belfodil. He also told us about the beginning of his career in France and how he has developed as a footballer.

“Thanks, I’m very happy to be with Inter. We all know that it’s a great team and I’m happy.”
You can play anywhere in midfield, you are flexible and you can always adapt.
“Yes, I like to fight and run to help the team defensively as well as offensively. I make every effort to give my best on the pitch.”
You came from France to Italy, can you say that you were formed as a footballer here?
“I started at very young age in France, and the real football I have encountered here. I made many sacrifices to get abroad when I was very young and therefore, you can say that work pays and now I’m happy to be here. It was a sporting objective and now I have much work to do.”
Belfodil and Taïder, are everyone in Algeria Inter fans now?
“It’s true (smiles ed.). Ishak made his debut a week ago and was very happy and now we are happy to be together and that we can play together at Inter.”
You have a well-trimmed Mohawk, does it change color as well?
“No, no… (smiles ed.) It will continue to look like this.”
In Bologna there’s fantastic cooking… What did you bring along with you here?
“I haven’t brought anything, but I thank the club who worked well with Inter to let me leave. Again, I thank both Bologna and Inter for the opportunity I’ve been given.”
