Inter right-back Georgios Vagiannidis will return to the club this summer after a season on loan at Sint-Truiden in which he failed to make an impact.

The 19-year-old was sent out to Belgian club Sint-Truiden at the start of the season but has endured a miserable spell in which he has failed to make a league appearance or even be named on the bench.

According to FCInter1908.it, the Nerazzurri are willing to give him another chance to impress away from the club with a new loan next season, and he has options from across Europe.

A return to his native Greece and former club Panathinaikos has been mooted, after Vagiannidis joined Inter from the Athens-based club last year.

Meanwhile, the winger has changed representatives and signed up with Portuguese agency Pro Eleven, under the management of Carlos Goncalves, suggesting that a switch to the Primeira Liga could also be an option.

Vagiannidis’ only senior appearance for Sint-Truiden came as stoppage-time substitute in a Belgian Cup match against Lokeren last month.
