Antonio Conte and Beppe Marotta are both awaiting clarity from Suning over Inter’s future, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said Conte was due to meet Steven Zhang when Inter’s president returned to Milan towards the end of this week.

Conte wants clarity regarding Inter’s future prospects and Marotta is in agreement with his head coach, having spoken to reporters before yesterday’s 1-0 win over Hellas Verona.

Both have played hugely important roles this season in keeping Inter’s players isolated from all the off-field speculation concerning Suning.

Conte admitted he felt Inter had ‘95% of the scudetto’ in the bag last night after Matteo Darmian scored a crucial late winner at San Siro.

Inter’s boss cut a nervous figure on the touchline against Hellas Verona, the Rome-based paper noted, before unleashing all his joy when the goal arrived by running over to celebrate with his players.

The Nerazzurri now only need five points to secure the scudetto and they could be champions as early as Sunday afternoon.
