Many people feel sorry that the summer draws to a close and that everyday life is back. For me, the end of August means that the season has started, that Inter have won the season’s first league game and that two visits to the La Scala of football are already planned for the autumn. It is impossible not to be excited for the upcoming season, regardless of how it will end.
There were many who commented on how the editorial staff at sempreinter.com predicted that the season would end. Some thought we were pessimists and I’m glad that so many people thought so. I answered a reader that what we wrote in the article was only what we believe, not what we hope for.
I hope, first and foremost, that this season will be the start of something great. I hope that Inter during this season at least will lay the groundwork for a future great team and that the feeling by this time next year, will be that we are one step further ahead. If that means we’ve won a Scudetto it would be amazing.
I hope Walter Mazzarri will give young players the chance to break through. That a player like Kovacic becomes the midfield monster we all hope and believe he can be. That Belfodil and Icardi get, and take the opportunity, to show that they are worthy heirs to a legend like Diego Milito. That Juan Jesus becomes a great defensive player, without making the simple mistakes he scared us with last season.
I hope it will be a year of revenge for Inter, but also for individual players. I believe and hope that Ricky Alvarez will show why I did not give up hope for him, despite the problems he’s had since he came to Inter. That he refutes all those who booed him at the San Siro and turns them into fans. That Jonathan will no longer be ridiculed because he was called “the new Maicon” and that the comparison actually is made for a reason.
I hope we get answers to all the questions we have. That we get to know when Thohir takes over, what he wants with Inter and what he will actually do. That we get to know what function Massimo Moratti will have in Thohir’s Inter.
I hope that young players who are not playing for Inter grow with their current teams. That’s why I will follow the sympathetic team Livorno with extra care and hope that they will be successful.
I hope that Diego Milito will be back soon. That he’ll be back in a form that makes us Interisti believe that we can reach the European cups and maybe even more.
I hope Javier Zanetti will return soon. That he will be back to lead his Inter in the same way as he’s always done, and that at the end of the season he will lift a trophy. If this will be his last season I sincerely hope that I am there when he plays his final minutes in an Inter shirt.
I hope to get the chance to make many trips to Milan and there meet Swedish Interisti, both new friends and old, and together witnessing good matches and above all victories.
I hope for all this and much more positive to happen in the coming season. What do you hope for?

I want to see more Italians at Inter because it’s hard to see nobody from Inter in Squadra Azzurri. I don’t understand why Inter has been loaning its primavera talents, and trying to sign foreign youngsters with high prices? Is Belfodil worth Cassano + 10m? He was born on a same day with Longo, but Inter loaned Longo out, and bought Belfodil with this high price. Look at Poli now. We had a great chance to sign him while he was with us. But Inter did not want him. Now AC Milan signed him for just 3m and Poli became a crucial part at Milan’s midfield. I hope we will bring all of our primavera players back from loan. We need Bardi, Di Gennaro, MBaye, Duncan, Crisetig, Romano, Bessa, Longo!!! Even we are Internazionale, we have to play at least 3 Italians in our starting XI. INTER PLAYERS MUST REPRESENT ITALIAN NATIONAL TEAM!!! Remember, Squadra Azzurri is not only Juventus!!!
We’ve got our own reason to give up on Poli. If he maximise his potential he would probably only be Marchisio, not Pirlo. Let alone all the injuries and lack of strength he has. I would say we had made a right choice letting him go.
Why do we need that much Italian players? We are Internazionale and that’s all that matters.IMO one Ranocchia is enough, Keep signing Italian is what Merda do. Look at how many Italian international they’ve got and what they did for Italy in return in 2010 world cup and 2012 Euro.
I hope that Capitano would play for at least one more season and called up for World Cup after ridiculously been rejected for 06′ and 10′.
I hope Belfodil be the new Trezeguet and Icard be the new Batistuta. Ricky be the new Kaka and Kovacic be the new Pirlo, etc….
I hope Mazzari would bring us attacking football with changes like speed and hunger for victory as he did for Napoli.
I hope Moratti would never leave.
Forza Inter!
I hope we we play to our managers & squads true ability. I hope Kovacic stays fit all the way through the season & we do not suffer many injuries & I hope that all that is enough for a CL spot as it should be.
