Inter are monitoring PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries as a replacement for the soon-to-depart Achraf Hakimi, with English club Everton also interested in the player.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that contact has been made between Inter and PSV about the availability of the 25-year-old, with the Dutch side willing to sell but setting their asking price at €25 million.
With Hakimi’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain, the Nerazzurri are thought to have replacing the right-sided player, and the profile of Dumfries is thought to be highly regarded as a possibility at the club.
Whether Inter are able to make a deal for the player at the valuation that PSV have set remains to be seen, with budgetary concerns restricting spending at the Giuseppe Meazza in the summer window.
The Dutchman’s performances with his country at the Euros are also thought to have attracted suitors, with the player impressing despite the Netherlands’ early elimination, and Everton are believed to have joined Inter in pursuit of his signature, with the Merseyside club also beginning talks with PSV.
