Inter defeated Genoa 4-0 in the opening day of the 2021/2022 Serie A at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
The Nerazzurri started off impressively and broke the deadlock within the first 10 minutes when Milan Skriniar latched on to a fantastic Hakan Calhanoglu corner.
The Turkish midfielder went from provider to finisher when doubling Inter’s lead shortly thereafter, and the second half ended 2-0.
In the second half Inter continued to pile on the pressure and substitute Arturo Vidal made it three before he turned provider for Edin Dzeko’s debut goal and the final result ended 4-0.
