Rudi Garcia: “We play to win, it will be a big game”

“I hope it will be a good game, because it is certainly a big game”. Those are the words of Rudi Garcia, Roma’s head coach, on the pre-game press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match between Inter and Roma. “We are calm, the team is focused, and that is the most important thing. It is true that winning games makes everthing easier, because it improves our self-confidence. Right now it’s like that, let’s see if it can continue the same way. Tomorrow, there will be an interesting and passionate game. We play to win, but it will be difficult. Five thousand Roma supporters are expected at the stadium and that’s a good thing, it seems like the San Siro will be almost full and that will be a nice experience. Hopefully, we will also get the three points. At the moment, all the players are performing well together, not just the ones in the starting eleven. We have good alternatives on the bench and a strong team spirit, and that should help us through difficult situations. This game will not be easy, but we will do everything to perform well. We know that we will have to prepare defensively against several Inter players”.

When asked if it is possible that Walter Mazzarri will deploy a different formation against Roma, Garcia replies: “I do not know whether Inter will play differently against us or not. There can also be tactical changes during the game, as you try to adapt to your opponent’s way of playing”.
