Inter had a strong connection with the German national team during the late 1980s and the early 1990s.

A trio of all-time Mannschaft greats wore the Nerazzurri shirt during that era, namely Andreas Brehme, Lothar Matthaus, and Juergen Klinsmann.

The trio forged a great bond during that era, at both Inter and playing together for the national team.

Former Nerazzurri great Brehme posted on his Instagram account with a picture of the trio back in their Inter days.

He captioned the photo, “Blue Monday.”
