Legendary former Nerazzurri midfielder Nicolo Barella believes that with Marcus Thuram, Inter Milan can dream of great things.
Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri icon was optimistic about the team’s chances of winning the Serie A title, and also didn’t hold back in dreaming of great things in the Champions League.
Inter are still a few weeks away from kicking of the 2023-24 season. They face their first Serie A match of the campaign against Monza in a little over a month’s time.
However, the team are already starting to put their minds ahead to the challenges that they will face.
Today, the Nerazzurri’s squad is back in training. And soon, they’ll be off to Japan for their preseason tour.
Inter will have several goals for next season.
On the one hand, the team will know that their performances in the league were not good enough season. Third place did not live up to expectations, particularly given the distance from champions Napoli in the table.
On the other hand, the Nerazzurri went on a glorious run in the Champions League. Even if it ended up in heartbreak as they lost 0-1 to Manchester City in the final.
So Inter will be keen to build consistency and momentum in the league that they lacked last season. And also keep their European dreams from last time around alive.
And they’ll do so with new signings like Marcus Thuram and Davide Frattesi in tow.

“Thuram will allow us to dream,” former midfielder Berti said.
“We’re ready to win the second star,” he continued, referring to the extra star that would be added to Inter’s shirt for winning their twentieth Scudetto.
Regarding the Champions League, Berti said “There are no limits, we should never set limits.”
